Job Description

The aim of this role is to train, develop, mentor, and motivate apprentices to become the IT Professionals of the future. Harnessing knowledge the apprentice already possesses and forging this into skills they can apply within the workplace.

The focus is to produce digital leaders of tomorrow, not only training apprentices to a point where they can achieve their End Point Assessment but developing them to become integral members of their wider working team and ultimately positioning them to be the future leaders. Mentoring and motivating apprentices through a range of physical and virtual workplace visits to ensure they are gathering the best evidence to put into their portfolio of evidence. Content creation will be a key aspect of this role, creating engaging content to motivate and further develop apprentices. We expect all staff to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes great customer service to build a long-standing relationship. The role will include regional travel to meet the needs of our apprentice’s location and business requirements.

Key Tasks

  • Train learners to achieve and learn professional skills required for the workplace in line with the curriculum
  • To advise, guide and assist learners through the qualification
  • Take overall responsibility for each apprentice’s journey, their progression and provide pastoral care
  • Improve and update teaching resources to meet developing need
  • Adapt mentoring/coaching style to meet the broad range of learning needs, including those with additional learning needs
  • Maintain appropriate apprentice progress tracking systems and follow procedures relating to quality, compliance, management and assessment in line with the Standard and all other regulatory requirements
  • Maintain professional knowledge to support in professional development
  • To embed British Values, Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety into all programme delivery
  • Meet KPIs, including timely completions and first time pass rates
  • Produce schemes of work, lesson plans and course materials
